The Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) is designed for licensed occupational therapists with a master’s degree who wish to advance their clinical expertise, skills, and potential for leadership.

The degree is 33 credits, and can be completed part time in as few as six consecutive semesters. Coursework includes advanced intervention and assessment courses, and in-depth educational experiences in the systems, funding and mechanisms in health care delivery from an occupational therapy perspective. A two-course individualized capstone research project, supported by Inter-Professional Education courses, allows students to gain knowledge and the ability to translate evidence for clinical practice relative to their area of expertise. 学生 are encouraged to use coursework toward an AOTA 委员会与专业认证 application.
