In its just-released 2018年大学指南和排名, the Washington, D.C.-based magazine ranked 稳定的十大彩票网站 47th among the 150 colleges surveyed for its Master’s category.
The University of Baltimore (41) and Frostburg State University (84) were the only other University System of Maryland schools in the category, which included both public and private colleges.
《华盛顿月刊》 ranks four-year schools (national universities, liberal arts colleges, baccalaureate colleges, and master’s universities) based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: Social Mobility, 研究, and Service.
The magazine aims to call attention to those “that serve the best interests of taxpayers and the country as a whole … smart, well-run colleges that enrolled students from all walks of life and helped them earn a high quality diploma at an affordable price. Colleges that instilled a sense of service and public obligation while producing groundbreaking research.”

《华盛顿月刊》 rankings give high marks to colleges that enroll lots of low-income students and help them graduate and earn a good living without too much debt. The rankings factor in pure research spending and the number of graduates who go on to earn Ph.D.’s. Extra weight is given to colleges that send their graduates out into the world to serve the community at large.
