Founded by Maliya Baxter ’23 and led by club president Kojo Addo ’25, it is bringing diversity into the technology field by creating a place where men of color can empower and encourage one another through their tech journeys.

In the fall semester, 位兄弟 extended their resources to middle and high schools across Harford County by creating an eight-week cybersecurity curriculum and teaching students over Zoom. “Teaching children is so important, and it was a great opportunity for us,” Addo says. “By helping children learn, we are also helping ourselves gain more knowledge.”

Over the spring semester, the club will provide public teaching resources, starting in April, for all students and professionals in technology through a two-day mini boot camp. “训练营是为成功而设计的，”阿多说。 “We will provide training in software such as Linux and mental health support and mentorship in all areas of professional development.”

Through the many educational and professional workshops 位兄弟 offers to members and the public, the club fosters collaboration.

With 80 members and nearing 300 followers on Instagram, the newly registered club is looking to expand throughout the community.
